Have there been many bunker schools in western Long Island Sound, or for that matter, all of the Sound this Summer? This being the first year in which the menhaden fishery is being actively managed, I am interested in whether the 20% reduction in the commercial catch along the East Coast is having an impact locally. Here in the Greenwich area, it is a lot like the year before last-no summer bunker. |

Mouth of the CT had them for most of the summer. Tough to find some days. I use porgies often as well. I'm hoping to see better numbers in years to come, but not holding my breath. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

I am happy to see peanuts in a couple of our protected brackish ponds; not huge schools, but it's better than nothing |
