Went out of Avery Point and ran to Charlestown, RI looking for bonito. Found tons of bluefish. This was the first time all summer I've seen big schools of birds working the reefs from East Point, Fisher's Is. to Watch Hill. The RI waters were loaded with monster jellies with schools of small butter fish under them. The blues just sit under the schools and feed. I sat on top of a few schools for an hour and a half without having to move more than 100 yards. I was in contact with 2 boats at Block and one I met at the Charlestown Breachway who had come west from Judith, and none had found any bonito. Very few bonito were landed Sunday. I also met up with a friend who was out with a charter having pretty much the same day, though he had put his clients on some nice bonito the previous few days. Looking forward to renewing the hunt for the bonito and albies this weekend!

I took a bunch of video with my new GoPro, but I was moving my head far too much. Looking forward to shooting some better video in the next few weeks.

I've got an 18' skiff. I'll be out there Saturday if the weather cooperates.
