Headed out to Great Hollow with my new baitcasting combo lined with 15lb sufix braid and flouro leader. Learning how to cast this thing and after some practice and a couple of missed bites, threw the jig to my right and it landed quick in some shallow but I quickly saw line twitch and then out. Set the hook and man did it feel good getting something this nice.
Now that I have heavier gear maybe catch more big ones and less runts.
Nobody to take a better picture but scale read 3.7 so I'm going with that.

Your quick. I was still trying to get the photo off my phone. Took me a minute.
Just a quarter oz brown jig with a little something extra on the hook. |

| It's so nice to catch a nice fish after not catching much for a while. Must have felt so good on your new setup. |

nice fish!
i caught a really nice sized lmb there last week, and there 2 guys reporting lunkers as well
maybe times will continue to be good there |
