I went out on the sand bar at Silver Sands in Milford last night. Got there about 6:45 and left about 8:45. I threw a bubblegum 9" sluggo with a small fin-s teaser. Nothing. It was right after low tide. It was overcast and a little windy. I switched to a black 9" sluggo. Nothing. Point Jude tin. Nothing. |

It's pretty tough when you can't get a Sluggo bitten off in August! _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

Your not wrong. The blues and bunker were here at the beginning of July last year.RNA made a post a while back about how the hurricane blew the bait off course and they bypassed us and continued up the coast. No adults to breed and spawn = no juveniles to return.
Now we have flash flood warnings today and whatever was here may get pushed back out to deep water again. When is this gonna end!?! _________________ ...Randy...

I find this summer to be worse than 2011 when we had that cool and wet summer. July 2011 I got into tailors chasing bunker in Black Rock Harbor and caught a number along certain areas at Seaside. This summer, nothing. The rains in June did it to us. |
