Got the Nucanoe on the water at 7 this morning,
Had the place to myself, with a nice breeze and mild temps.
For a change I started throwing a watermelon senko towards the shoreline where people are usually shore fishing.
Got into 2 solid smb's then paddled to the northeast corner which is uncharted territory for me. Switched over to a silver Roboworm and pulled in 2 more nice looking lmb's, along with losing a bigun' at the side of my yak.
Definitely 3 hours well spent and took off at 10. |

How warm and how weedy was the water? What are the depths like in the res? Worth throwing a few Rapalas?
Stephan and I might hit it Thursday |

Weeds were a non issue, except towards the island directly in front of the launch.
At the far northern end of the lake there were weeds but that area was producing regardless.
The water was warm and fairly low, so watch out for hidden structure towards the middle of the lake. I use polarized sunglasses so I am usually able to see it clearly. When I first got my yak and took it out there, I pretty much beached myself on top of a large rock which I didn't know was there.
I do not use rapalas so unfortunately I cant speak to their effectiveness there. However, it sounds like you generally have good luck with them so let me know if they worked there |

What are the depths like, as in chart? Only been on a vessel at that lake once, which was with a buddy earlier in the spring last year without a fishfinder and was into lmb with shallow diving Rapalas seeing the water was cooler.
Stephan and I are scheduled for Thursday if the weather cooperates and I'll have an X4 Pro turned on on my yak. |

How do you like your Nucanoe? I am thinking about checking those out. |

It has treated me nicely.
I have had it since Nov of 2012 and am finally getting used to it.
It has all tremendous room for your gear and can be modified to the gills.
Nucanoe.com has a fantastic forum which provides tons of ideas for mods.
I have it on craigslist right now, and let me know if you interested |
