From what I've seen here on CTFishTalk and on Facebook, and in text messages, it was a great day for largemouth bass fishing. It seems that the fish enjoyed the slight changes in the weather, too. I read a lot of reports about nice largemouth bass being caught all over the place. Of course, I spent the day NOT fishing with my wife, but I'm not complaining.
Did those of you who don't post reports do well, too? _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Didn't get more than one tiny bite on the lunker hunt frog at my local pond. I mean I did not fish very long, but typically I get way more action than that. I barely even saw any fish cruising and I normally always do there. _________________ You know it was a good day when your thumb is all scratched up. |

I took my yak out on Silver Lake 530- 10am on Sunday and also had a very productive day. Pulled in 12 LMB with the lunker being about 4lb, all on a 4 in. chartreuse w/ black flake yum stick bait wacky rigged. Ended up catching 2 catfish as well, one of which I foul hooked! I'd post pics but this sight makes it so damn hard _________________ catch and release |

I fished for two hours at Fitchville Pond in Bozrah on 7/20. I fished the section on the North side of Rt 2 which may actually be part of the Thames River that is dammed up. Caught 6 fish. 3 keeper largemouth, 2 dink largemouth and a pickerel. Nothing over 13" though. I haven't fished since then. |
