Oh, yes. Stripers and more stripers. Pics from 2 charter trips today. Talked with my friend who ran one of them an hour ago. His clients had fish up to 40" on the fly, with double hook ups. The stripers are heating up again big time. Hoping for some good action tomorrow night. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

Funny looking flatfish!
Saw a few spurts of nice top water action. We didn't take eels as the plan wasn't to fish into the night, but as the sun finally dropped, the boat next to us started lighting 'em up with a pair of really big bass. They must have had one monster, because they chased this thing all over. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

RNA - how'd you end up doing this weekend? We went out Saturday and got 6 stripers ranging from 33" to 38" and also 2 blue that were both 30". Also had several decent fish that came off the hook on the way into the boat, but overall had a good day. |

Couldn't fish this weekend Hope to get out a little later this week. Sounds like you caught some nice fish. Where did you go? _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

Don't like to spot burn so i'll leave it at the East Lyme area. They were definitely there once the tides started moving the water around. When the tides died so did the bite. We were on the water long enough to make the high and low tides though so we had some productive hours of fishing. |
