Went to black pond in middlefield today with my father. We both bought future beach trophy 126 kayaks and this was are second time in them at black pond. After about 45 mins my father got a decent size largemouth that jumped just in front of his kayak and spit the hook. Aprox 15 mins later I hooked a 5.5lb largemouth. Was so excited we forgot to measure it. Both were on wacky rigged 5" gary yamaoto pumpkin with black flake worms. Of course my digital scale wasn't working today after I got caught fishing in the rain on wednesday so all I had was this cheap back up scale. After we got home I put a five pound weight on the scale to see how accurate it is. The 5lb weight shows 6lbs on the scale. The fish showed 6.5lbs so it was really 5.5lbs. This was the biggest largemouth I've ever caught by far.

Haven't fished out there this season. It's right in my backyard. Nice place for a few bass. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

Is there enough leg room in that kayak? I know a lot of people use them and I see them in the store all the time but they don't look like they have much room at all. |

I'm 6'2" and wear 10.5 shoes and I find it very comfortable. I was told when I bought it that I have the latest version so i'm not sure if that makes a difference. |

I checked them out for ha ha's.They look roomy.I noticed they lack a foam block in the bow and aft that i have seen in other models.
I'm 6'3" and have a size13 foot. my yellow yak is only 9'6" with foam blocks at both ends.
I solved my problem by getting a Hobie
Nice bass fishguy81. _________________ ...Randy...

Great catch. I have never caught any bass on that shoreline where you got it, but I didn't spend much time there. I would actually bet that fish was pushing six pounds at the start of spring time. _________________ You know it was a good day when your thumb is all scratched up. |
