With the bass fishing being very inconstant I have been black fishing. The first light bite is as good as it gets. No tackle shops are carrying crabs. I have been getting my own asians. It's over By 8am. All nice fish 5 to 7 pounds. |

I never heard of tog fishing that was light dependent. I always thought the tide was the key- 1 hour on either side of a change being the best. No? |

Usually the beginning of the incoming is the best. I never usually fish blacks this time of year. All I can tell you I have black fished 6 times in the morning the bite has been fast and furious 830am comes game over. Like a switch. |

Just curious, where are you getting the asians? I haven't fished for blackfish since I was a kid a long time ago from boat. We used to anchor off the breakwater in Stratford and use greens back then. No boat anymore but I would like to get back out to the saltwater. |

Asians on jigs is all I use. They work great on any break wall. |
