Launched at the Bantam River bridge around 4:30 pm. This was my first trip fishing in a kayak and turned out to be a very productive outing.
Caught I nice bass on the first cast and wondered if it was a good sign or a curse.
I fished down to the beaver dam and back boating 11 bass between 13-17 inches. I packed up and left the river at 7:30pm.
All of my fish where caught flipping a 3/4 oz green pumpkin jig with a 4" green pumpkin grub trailer.
I was really surprised how much fun it was fishing from a kayak.
Now I just need to figure out where to go Saturday!

Um, Chuck? You were sitting in your kayak backwards.
Seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed your first outing in your kayak. Now you'll get to check out all of the small waters that you've been missing. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

I said the same thing to my wife. Kayak looks funny from the side...lol
I have a few small local ponds in mind. Just need to check access. _________________
