Hi,
Got out the last 3 days on West Hill Pond fishing for salmon.
Surface temp at 81.3 yet thermocline at 28-29 ft.,
Plankton bloom seems to be holding at that depth, at least for WH and that is very unusual !
Lake stratification is way out of wack !
This year's fishing is not normal and definitely off and unpredictable !
WHY ? Who knows ? But it makes fishing more of a challenge then usual !
One day it's great the next few days it's pure sunk !
Looks like this season for fresh and saltwater fishing is going to be a hit or miss proposition or you hit it lucky or not !
Even us experienced knowledgeable fishermen are having a hard time figuring this year out !
All I can say is GOOD LUCK to all !

I can concur to that, took my son to paper mill pond to have him catch
some sunfish for fun. We were for half an hour nothing, it was just so weird. _________________ Something smells fishy. |
