Did anyone leave their fishing pole in a south eastern CT fishing spot yesterday? I saw the pole with the line in the water that went unattended to for hours and as of the time I left fishing (about 830 pm) it was still there, un claimed.. If this is yours then make sure you go get it! If it's still there tomorrow I will get it from the spot and hold onto it and place a found ad here and a few other places, just so it doesn't get stolen (although tomorrow may be too late, but hopefully not). |

I was fishing in Niantic a few years ago and i left my pole on a wooden railing for no more than 30 seconds and it had disappeared when i went back to it....
Here's hoping that the setup gets back to the owner! _________________ Got em!! |

I had a plug bag taken from behind me in Niantic some years back. One of the rare occasions I had my entire hooks box with me as well... 50-packs of O'Shaughnessy style hooks from 1/0 to 8/0, assorted trebles, weighted trebles, and live bait hooks from 1/0 to 8/0, all bulk packs. On top of half a dozen Gibbs Dannies, half a dozen bombers and a few poppers... Even a novice surf caster knows that was an expensive bag...
Some people just have no respect for other people's property. Hope it got back to the owner. _________________ ...of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy.

In April I was shore fishing a pond in New Britain with a friend. He left his tackle box on the ground and walked maybe 20 yards away from it as he worked the shore. Within a few minutes a boy around 14 years old was walking towards it. I thought that there was no way the kid was going to try and take it but told my friend to grab it just in case. Sure enough, as he was picking it up the boy was now only a few yards away. He turned around and ran. I could not believe that this kid was actually going to steal the box right in plain sight. |
