Once the rain cleared with only a few sprinkles around Tuesday, I headed up to Twin Brooks. Arrived around 3:30pm and fished til about 7:45pm.
Worked areas of the pond farther up on the right but only had bluegills around.
Next I went to the pond with the gazebo and got into a few crappie with an olive green muddler X-Rap XR-4. Caught 3 with 1 being 8".
Decided to stick with the XR-4 and look for weed patches near shore that might hold more crappie as I made my way to other ponds.
Caught a chubby bluegill and a small bass.
Tried throwing a silver shad Jointed Shad Rap JSR-4, silver shad Jointed Shallow Shad Rap JSSR-7, and shad Shallow Shad Rap SSR-7 at one spot but couldn't get anything to bite. |
