Used Live Eels, Althought they went into an eel knot. Chopped them up and used as bait off the bottom. I used Slug Go's, and I used a pencil popper, all with no luck. I was out there from 9:45-11:30pm last night. This is the 11th time I have been out this year, and I have caught nothing at all. Annoying. Maybe I should stick to golf. |

I wouldn't feel too bad. I've been there quite a few times myself and the only fish I ever catch are snapper blues and the occasional striper which are only around 8-10 inches. The only decent fish I've seen caught there is a keeper sized fluke by a little kid who literally just dropped some kind of soft plastic down from the pier. It hit the bottom and he immediately hooked up making everyone else look like fools. |

How are the conditions at the pier? I know it was very murky and cloudy due to the floods and its making fishing around the mouth of the river almost impossible. All fishing reports ive read lately are saying to keep away from mouth of the CT river until the water clears up a little bit. _________________ catch/picture/release |

I use to go there a few years back, I myself never caught anything and never saw too many other people catch anything except some folks catching and keeping illegal size white perch from the channel at the end of the dock _________________ "Come after Me, and i will make you to become fishers of men"
Can i be a fisher of fish too?

It's hit or miss there, as in most places, but right now, the river is way too high and dirty. Best way to shore fish is to be willing to move up or down the coast. I typically hit 4-5 spots in a night until I find the one where the fish are biting. If I've got a small group of guys, we split up and hope one of us finds fish (and tells the rest). _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.
