Later in the afternoon on Monday I headed down to a certain area of the Pequonnock at Beardsley Park hoping for channel cats. Arrived around 5:30pm. Setup was a 6' M Daiwa Triforce and Penn Fierce 3000 with 8 pound Sufix Pro Mix.
Bait I was using was cut pieces of chicken cutlets that had been in the fridge for a while.
As I stayed around the same area until dark, I only had 1 good tug. Other hits were a few short series of bumps.
Saw a few eels landed and 1 man near me was hitting the cats with hot dog and sausage meat.
Hit the road around 9pm |
