I fished Nap on Thursday night, it was slow, but there were fish being caught. there is a sand eel hatch going on right now, which makes fishing tough for pluggers/eel drifters, as these sand eels are in big numbers and are very small. the bass wont even look at anything else when this is going on.. going to head out tonight either around Stonington, or going to hit up Nap again. _________________ Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and..... well, he'll never be hungry! or home for that matter!

Fishing the area tomorrow early a.m. Squid are running on the outer reefs. Will take my fly rod with some sand eel imitations as well. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

A sand eel imitation teaser about a foot and a half above the plug on a drop loop can usually solve that problem. _________________ ...of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy.

Caught a bunch of shorts today, right up along the grass beds and salt marshes, on small Gibbs poppers. Water sucked, still coffee, but these little guys didn't seem to mind! We were fishing in 3 feet of water on an incoming tide. _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.
