my advice is to check the 2013 angler guide or just pull up a map of ct on line and take a look. I also fish from shore and it can be tough.. especially around the manchester/vernon/southwindsor area... the river if you can access an area that's fishable and not running fast... Union pond sucks...valley falls most people primarily fish for trout but there are some small bass in it... same with walkers... try tankerhoosen... or go about half hour 84 east and go to mashapaug and/or bigelow. |

Doh! How could I forget the Ris... Salters, I don't know.. I've only caught a couple small pickerel and a couple small perch...I've tried walking around that pond to access some different areas but never any luck. |

Try upper bolton lake. Have always had a lot of luck there with soft plastics and topwaters. Just make sure to rig weedless. |

The snip I believe is no fishing unless you have property on the lake. And upper Bolton is ok. I caught a smallie there yesterday but it was very slow. It's a super high pressure area. Everyone and their brother fish there. Ct shores are all fished out. You need a boat to fish in ct consistently. |

Shenipsit is open to the public. Check a map for the shore fishing areas. LOTS of rules to follow so research |

Oh I gotcha. A guy I know who lives near it was confused. He said you can't fish there like you used to |
