Stopped by Winchester for a couple of hours with a friend. We fished from shore near the boat launch/dam area.
We both threw the exact same spook. It was his first time using one and he picked up on how to work it very quickly.
On his fifth cast he caught his first bass on a topwater.A 13 inch large mouth.I hooked up with a dinky 8 incher.
We walked back and forth on the dam with no action.
As we were ready to leave,i caught my smallest and first pike on a topwater.
A small 12 incher but,a pike none the less. _________________ ...Randy...

It might have been just a 12 incher, but it's a start. Congratulations!
DirtyDawg10 (aka Derek) caught his first northern pike at Winchester Lake, too, and it was an 11 incher, I think. He improved on that pretty quickly. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

I got my first pike at Winchester. It was barely bigger than the 1/2 oz. rooster tail I was using. But it's a start. |
