Check the Angler's Guide, there is several lakes up that way that hold Crappie. Highland and Winchester being a couple.

| I caught them southwest on lillinonah. Fish the 40' flats midway 20-25feet down. Little white curly tail grubs. I think winchester has them but that place is shallow. Im not familiar with up there. |

According to the book I have on Connecticut Lakes and Streams, Crappie are most prevalent in Dog Pond. However, the book shows the density of 10+ inchers there at 0. I did catch 10 incher this winter, though. I caught a bunch ice fishing, but haven't ever fished for them in open water. I also got a bunch icefishing Stillwater(which is not listed in the book), and have heard good stories from there as well. I also know that Crappie fisherman target docks with a technique called "shooting docks". You Tube it. The book I have is sold by the DEP. I read it all the time to learn about the lakes around me. It has fish densities for all species, thermocline depth, water transparencies, fishing expectations and bathymetric maps.

It's not in that DEEP book (I have that also)But you can try Wononpakook lake AKA by the locals as (long pond) just south of Wononscopomuc (Lakeville lake)
Bass,perch,crappie,pickrel and bullhead.
There are some slabs in there.Literally dinner plates. Mudge pond
Hatch pond
