Caught this little fatty in the Connecticut River. Long day/night of fishing paid off!
caught about two weeks ago.
Measured 28 inches and was 10 pounds

He didn't catch it. He shot it.  Nice fish, by the way. 
Actually, I've heard stories of Vermonters shooting 40+ inch northern pike in Lake Champlain from the shore. And to be clear, I mean with guns, not arrows.

| Peco, my uncle lives right near Lake Champlain and literally just told me about that on Saturday. He said guys go up in tree stands in swamps where the Pike spawn and shoot them. I couldn't believe it! |

| Is it because the pike eat other gamefish? Or are the guys just being idiots that want to kill stuff for no reason? That can't be legal. |
