Member LouEye (aka Lou) and I hit 3 spots in Stratford for about 3 1/2 hours, including driving time from spot to spot.
Lou tried throwing bait at the first stop. Other areas he threw poppers and a tube tail Kastmaster.
Lures I played around with included chrome Skitter Pop SP-9, pearl grey shiner Flat Rap FLR-10, blue sardine Saltwater X-Rap SXR-10, glass ghost Clackin Minnow CNM-11, shad Shallow Shad Rap SSR-9, 4" Berkley Havoc Subwoofer, stainless steel blue mullet Saltwater Skitter Pop SSP-9, and flake purple ghost Max Rap MXR-11.
Our first stop is where Lou had a few hits on the bait and I caught a sea robin with the CNM-11. Nothing else other than that.
Hit the road from the last stop just after 7pm. |

There seem to be quite a few sea robins caught already.those pesky dogfish have to be hot on their heels.Did you hit the sand bar off of short beach?Rock pile #7 has always been good to me. _________________ ...Randy...

That's not good to hear.I'm very surprised you didn't even get a bump. After this heat wave, night time would have produced something.Did you happen to notice if there was any bait in the area?Any bunker schools arrive yet? _________________ ...Randy...

Why do I suspect "locked in" will be the bigger problem?
