If I understand u correctly, u r looking for a guide that will show u places to fish from shore.
I used to do some fishing from shore to catch striped bass, blue fish, fluke and hickory shad. I found that the mouth of the rivers seemed to be the best places to fish from shore. The Connecticut River, Thames River and the Nianctic river were my spts of choice - escpecially at night and early morning.
Where are town/city will you be coming from? _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

Iggi, There is a tackle shop in Hartford on Wethersfield Avenue called CT Outfitters that has guides.
Their staff is very knowledgeable and they have gear you can buy. Here is there website
Home Page:

Guide Section

I am not sure if they offer guides from shore but I am certain they can give you directions to some hot spots where you can catch striped bass and blues from shore. Good luck _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

Montauk is great for surf casting. You need a 8-11 foot rod ,that is light weight because u r plugging most of the time.Yet you can also chunk from the beach.
There are a few places in Rhode Island to go surfcasting.
Or you can just drowned some chunks at the beach in west haven. _________________ The King of Long Island Sound. |
