So I was thinking Pachaug Pond due to the size, backup were Amos, Winchester, Bolton and Mansfield Hollow. |

Would this be a northern pike tourney? Dodging them would be part of the challenge, I guess. It IS kind of close to Moodus Reservoir, though.
How about East Twin Lake? We could park and launch at the Twin Lakes State Boat Launch:

Is there another launch because that one says four spaces, which may be an issue. |

I second East Twin followed by Pachaug but might have the same issue with pleasure boaters on ET as someone mentioned earlier. There is however West Twin which those skiers can't access |

How is a 800+ acre pond like Pachaug more appealing than a much smaller pond? It's hard enough to cover that kind of water in a whole day on a bass boat, let alone 6 hours in a kayak. Plus, it can be very tough to fish. _________________ Kira

Winchester would be good because there would be no speed boaters with all the stumps in that place. Plus the parking is decent, and room for a cookout.
