Well after I got the skunk at the reef today, I decided I couldn't end the day without a fish on the end of my pole.
I got down to the Naugy around 6:30pm and fished until 8. I fished with one of my ultralights tonight, a 4'6 pole with 4lb test hoping to get a nice fight with a bass.
I was killing the fallfish, that's about it. The biggest one of the night came on the 2nd cast. For about 30 mins straight I was either getting hits on every other cast or had a fallfish on the line. They were scooping up the flys on top of the water like crazy and would hit my kastmaster any time I threw it near them.
Here is a pic of the biggun, a nice male.

Did you weigh that puppy? The state record fallfish is only 2-1/4 pounds. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

LOL that was exactly what was going through my mind when I caught it. But no, I do not have a scale. That should be my next investment.... |
