Held the last BAWS tourney of 2007 yesterday on the CT River out of Wethersfield Cove. I fished with Nic as a non-boater based on the drawing of partners. We blasted south through the cold fog to fish some backwater areas. We were each able to muster up limits throughout the day, most of the fish coming off wood in the backwater areas. We caught them on 4-inch worms, soft jerkbaits, senkos and spinnerbaits. Also caught some nice crappie and a decent pike. I ended up in 1st with 8.70 lbs and a 3.13 lb lunker for the day. Nic took 2nd with 6+ lbs and Rhodes rounded out the top 3 with 2 fish for 4+ lbs. It was a chilly day with the wind blowing and a rough ride back up north. Overall though it was a nice way to wrap up the season. Can't wait for 2008. Lot's of fishing (open water and ice) before then though. _________________ Bringing Along Weighty Sacks

John, the water was high 50's in the morning, getting to about 61 by mid-day. A few guys reported 55 in the Mettabasset River. This was a big difference from what I had when I was out there last Saturday (Oct 6) when the temp was 75+. _________________ Bringing Along Weighty Sacks
