are the migratory stripers in the ct river yet or has it just been holdovers and schoolys i know theres been a couple of keepers here and there but where is the north carolina/chesapeake bay cows at

Shad have been up, alewives are showing up in the hartford area, some stripers with em, and we've seen/gotten some chunky spring spawners. They're here. Not in the numbers yet, but its started

I know a guy that went out with a gill net for shad in the lower ct river and netted way more bass than shad. He said that he had at least 80 something bass in a drift.

just got done shore fishing the ct river in windsor caught 1 24 inch striper and saw and heard about 10 bigger fish out in the middle busting fish. gonna try early am tommorow
