I work at Rushford Rehabilitation Center on the CT river in Middetown. I have been seeing some keepers being landed right behind the building. The crowd seems to get bigger there every day. Just curious if anyone on here fishes there. _________________ i'm a castaway with no fishing pole, and the fishing hole is just a cast away |

there's a spot everyone parks at the bottom of the hill NOT in the Rushford parking lot. then you just walk down the gated road along the river. I think they are using worms _________________ i'm a castaway with no fishing pole, and the fishing hole is just a cast away |

I've been wanting to take the kayak out the Windsor area and launch from Bart's. But I don't know if the current is too strong. |

That can be a tough paddle if the water is either too high or too low. One of the CTFishTalk Members, Eagle, just reported that the lower Farmington River is running high, right now. If you have a buddy, you could always shuttle a car down to the ramp at Vibert Road or the Bissell Bridge and do an easy one-way paddle downriver from the ramp at Bart's. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
