Went to Zoar today with my father (Cmorejoe). Went to Indian Wells first, but it's closed for the season. We got to Zoar around 9 and it was thundering and raining. Started heading for home and the sun came out so we turned around and went back. I think we managed around 6 bass. A few went 2 or so pounds. Here's a few pics.

Ive tried putting two and two together for a while now and finaly it all adds up, to five!!!! Smile

This is the first photo ive seen posted of your father in the year or two ive seen him reporting on either site. Finaly, its confirmed!!

We weren't really freinds (you being much younger than my brother and I), but you might remember me from way back when you were a little lad on Seymour Ave. My mother still lives up there to this day!

We lived at the end of the street, second to last house on right. I have a brother Ernie. I am probably remembered as a trouble maker Sad

Anyways, i remember you (red hair little lad) and you sister. I specifically remember the bass boat and your dad always out there washing and cleaning it. You might have been 10 years old back then

Its nice to see your dad got you hooked on fishing!!! Flashy bass boats are irresistible to little kids, he he

Anyways, back on topic we goooo

I was at Indian Wells yesterday (sunday) with the wife and kids. It was openned and there were people having picnics.

Is it closed, as in closed closed for the fall? Or is still going to be openned on weekends?

We caught alot of small fish up by the painted rock, to many to count. I did get a pounder smallie, and another pushing 2 1/2 pounds. Think it was 2.06.

Something really needs to be done about that park/ramp situation. The next ramp being Zoars state lauch is just to far of a ride!

Oh, almost forgot. Did i see you one day fishing the shore of Quonnipaug in guilford at the launch with some other kid? I was launching a red bass tracker and was unsure if it was you or not.

Anyways, good to see you getting out there with your dad!!

My brother is actually the red head. He's 4 years younger. You were probably a few years older than me. I'm 33 now. I do remember you and your brother. You guys used to be into the bmx bikes right?

Indian Wells had a sign on the gate that said closed Oct 1-April1. Gate was locked.

I've fished Quonnipaug from an inflatable, but never really much from shore. I used to live in Guilford right near there, so you may have seen me.

Yeah. Its all coming back to me. Im pretty sure you had a sister with red hair too!!

Im 36, so yeah, ok, we werent that far off in age.
And yeah, we were into the BMX bike thing Smile Most people thought we were twins back then.

That sux, it being closed. Its the closest thing for me to get out with the kids and toy with the boat, plus some fishing

I hope they change it soon for us locals

FYI ... just called Indian Well State Park and the guy said they are anticipating that they will stay open until Nov 26th (extending the Oct 1st date) and boat launch should be open everyday.

They ought to hang the guy you talked to with the chain that was locking the gate. I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT but I think the guys that work down there as the indians would say SPEAK WITH FORKED TONGUE. I would like to get out down there one more time but I don't know if its going to be possible. cmorjoe
