Went out to Eagleville dam around 3pm. The sun was out in full effect, beautiful. About 60 degrees with a light breeze every so often. I walked down the tracks to the second clearing. Water was clear and sun beeming.
Started with Texas rigged 5" senko. Nothing but a snag and lost senko. I switched rods and tied what I believe to be a Strike King silver spinner with red specks. Within 5 minutes got a hit, and landed this small LMB. Nice way to start my day!
After another 10 minutes or so of no action I switched to the Rapala shad rap blue gill pattern. The second cast with a retrieve and pause got another hit! Wouldn't you know I caught another BROOK TROUT with that lure.
Not the biggest catches but not a bad way to spend an hour and a half on a beautiful day! |
