Went fly fishing today for a few hours.I hit the section at the end opposite of the exit 40 ramp bridge. There were already 8 cars there at the bridge
Where i went i was the only one when i arrived.
I noticed brown stone flies falling like snow onto the water. So, I matched the hatch and ended up with 8 bows and lost about 4 others.
Apparently, the trout were hitting almost everything according to a couple of others that i spoke with.
When i walked back to my truck there were 7 cars now and about 10 people fishing where i had first started.
The water was cool but,low and clear.
Get out there! There are fish to be had. _________________ ...Randy...

Sounds like a good day, better day than I had at the Salmon River. Only caught one rainbow and lost one half way in. Not hardly anything hitting the top. Both fish hit a haresear nymph. Only one guy there when I first got there and maybe 5-6 guys when I took off. I saw two rainbows about 7-8 pounds staged behind some bolders. They wouldn't hit a thing that me and this other guy threw at them. I'll be back tomorrow morning bright and early. |

Thanks. It may be a C&R area but, the single swing free doesn't apply at this time.Neither does the no bait rule.On opening day you can keep 1 salmon a day until. October when it becomes C&R until December-the end of march.
.
I went today again.Only 3.
2 were about 14 inches and the one with my hand was a fat 18.
