Hey guys I finally got out there on the open water for the first time of the year on sunday. I went to one of my favorite local spots with my 2 person boat. We fished from around 2 until 5:30ish. It was pretty cold and windy. Started out with a jerkbait and had zero interest in that. I switched to a small jig and after while I got my first hit of the day. It was the only fish me or my partner got all day. It turned out to be a pretty decent first fish of the year at 4lb 7oz and 19in long. It had a pretty fat belly. All and all it was nice to get my new boat wet!

If I could catch half the number of quality fish you do there then id be doing great. I'd love to get out there one day with you and see you land some lunkers!
