Not yet, going to give the flounder a try this weekend. Flounder fishing has really sucked for a while I've heard from people who've fished this area for a long time (IMO because cormorants and stripers eat all the young flounder). With that said, I've only targeted them once ever, and I did have some luck. I will be blackfishing in 2 weeks when boat goes in. PM me if you're new to the area and looking for a starting point or whatever

A wise man told me Blacks are in deeper water until the weather gets warmer (like the next blackfish season). Hunting winter flounder in the sound isn't as exciting as it used to be but mudflats may be your best bet. Niantic bay produced some WF last spring.

Fished today out of saugatuk river got nothing pulled boat went to veterans park norwalk fished the river got bunch of shorts and two keeper flounder one 14 and a 12.5 hour before low chumed with clams and used sandwos for bait

Nice...You weren't south of Vets park were you? I saw two boats over there, one aluminum I believe.
