I went to a couple of my usual spots in Seymour last week and didn't get as much as a bite. Today before dinner I got out to the Quarry and got 5 of the typical 10"-14" bass on my Blue Gill Shad Rap that has been producing a ton lately. They were healthy feisty fish. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and I lost the lure on a piece of Rebar in the water and decided to call it a day. Looks like Rapala will be getting more of my money soon. But it was good to see one of my spots in the Valley producing and hopefully the warmer weather will keep up. _________________ The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. ~A.K. Best |

Love the Shad Raps, bluegill, perch, and the one with blue, bright yellow and a black dot are my favorites.

I'm pretty sure that one was a SR07. When I go out next I'll give the JSR05 a shot and see if I can get the same kind of results. But I would say that the fish are definitely looking for the smaller crank baits and jerk baits right now. _________________ The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. ~A.K. Best |

How deep is the quarry if you were using a SR-7? |

It gets over 20 ft deep, maybe even more. But I never let it get more then about 3ft down. I paused frequently and the bass mostly hit while it was rising back to the surface... _________________ The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. ~A.K. Best |
