cats feed all year round. i went out once for them this year and failed but they are out there and they are feeding. the rule book suggests that you move every 15 minutes if your bait is not being hit. we usually just sit there and wait haha. good luck

I would like to catch them. Laughing I've caught only one catfish in Connecticut. I might make an effort to get another one this year. . . and maybe to get a carp, too. Very Happy

I fish everything, if you like to fish you'll like cat fishing. Some people get bored having a rod sitting out there so I like to have a few rods and cast for other stuff while you have a catfish rod or two out. I went for an Hour yesterday with no luck. It will get much better in the next few weeks but it is possible to catch them now. If you go to the right places you can use sand worms and fish for schooly stripers and catfish, this should be happening fairly soon in a month or little longer.

Catfish can be a blast to catch especially the big boys. Its a lot of fun to target giant cats on the CT River. Sometimes ill go every day / night for weeks! CT is great for Cat fishing! Its so fun you really never know what you might get while your doing it!

Of course, you always fish with others, since you can have only two lines in the water at a time in Connecticut. Wink

If you can get there, try the power plant in Hartford. The warm water discharge channel. I usually get em right under the tower during the day. Watch for all the debris though.

what he said. we went earlier in the year but the water was too thick with carp, I would imagine they have thinned out by now.
