Awesome Awesome fish! Congrats. As a tip though, if you don't have a scale next time, take measurements of the length and girth then punch it into one of the calculators online. Otherwise if you just say an estimate, people on this site will usually be quick to dispute you. Everyone thinks they can more accurately judge from a picture than you can in person. Laughing I hope this doesn't happen to you here but its just a word of warning. Like I said though, great fish and your buddy should be proud!

Nice fish - mind if we ask what you got it on?

I picked up a cheap digital luggage scale on amazon for like $6 that has been working well for me. Nice and small, seems to be pretty accurate, and cheap enough that I don't have to worry about it.

Nice bass, 5 pounds tops though, but I do recommend not posting pictures of yourself breaking DEP laws, those signs right behind you guys in the picture say not to be on the land, best to stay in your boat the whole time there, the land on the other side is private property and hunting ground, so I wouldn't go over there either Wink

thanks for the info man i appreciate it! i will have a digital scale for sure next time! and it's no big deal.. i kinda figured some people would argue about the weight anyways Rolling Eyes honestly it doesn't matter to me what the exact length or weight is at this point, i'm just happy that i was lucky enough to be there to experience landing that pig!
