Got the new Skeeter out on the water today! Last minute decision at 2:00PM. Hit the water at 5:30{M! Yep! That's right! 5:30PM. %$%#$%$%am Traffic Accident! Well we got there! Pulled in and Ahhhhh! Panic! 12' high snow piles! Turned the corner and all clear! YES!!!!

Put the Skeet in the water! Starts right up! Buzz down to the Stevenson Dam! Buzz back a mile or two. Boats running awesome! Stop to fish! "There's Three Of Us." We all grab our rods! Hey! Give me a hook! I thought you grabbed them! I thought you did! Great! Nine rods and only a bag of crap one of us got from Dicks earlier in the day! We manage!

Late start!

Hour to fish!

Notta!

Marked some fish south of Rte 84 but nothing after that! Water temps were 37 deg! Fish marked in 30' of water! Wind was blowing pretty good. Current and water levels were hard!

"BUT" I got the new boat (to me anyways) in the water. Ran great. Super quiet!

We marked "BIG" bait balls 200 yards north of 84 at the mouth of the Paumperog River but we just couldn't hook up into anything!

Overall I got to spend the day with my son and my very best friend G and we had a great time just wetting lines.

In case anyone doesn't know, Dicks Sporting Goods has a sale, Buy a Rod $89/99 and get a Skeet Reese reel for $1. They are awesome drop shot set ups.

Happy fishing and, God willing I will get a chance to fish this year with all my CT Fisherman Friends I have made here!

See ya on the water!

C...

oH! yEAH! I forgot the camera! Dah!!!!

I'm glad that you finally got the new boat out, but you know that the lower Housy has been open this whole time, right? Laughing BTW, as I wrote the $30 check to register my boat for 2013, I wondered whether you paid to register yours when you picked it up and will have to pay again for 2013. Did the State get you?

I'm good till 2014! I know the lower Housy is open but I fish with "NON STRIPER FISHERNAN." Ahhhhhhh!!!!! I thought about you and Kira all day! It was like a " My Son Wakes Up from 3rd at Sikorsky." Jokingly" Ya Wanna Take The Skeet Out" "Lets Go." Traffic! New Boat Owner Stress! "Is It Gonna Start" If Not What We Gonna Do." Correctional Lieutenant 18 Years! Pre Planning is just in my blood!

But never fear! You and Kira were very near! Just the first time out!
