Been keeping an eye on the water temps and fishing reports along the east coast from the Delmarva and NJ up to the Sound.

Saw on the NJ link on Stripers Online that the surf fishermen in NJ are starting to hit the stripers pretty well on both soft plastics and smaller plugs.

2 people on that link reported snagging a bunker.

Get ready for these warmer temps next week!

Too bad you have to wait until June or what ever you said in that other post for the fish to get here. LOL

Thank you for reminding me of bluefish when I was talking about stripers!!! Can't wait for the bluefish to get more active in June while the stripers are active in the spring!!!

All thanks to what you said, I'd say we don't bother talking about stripers. It's turning our attention to June bluefish now Laughing Razz

As I said, you need reading glasses amico!! Laughing Razz

Now I see what I said but I never knew June cow stripers were the only stripers that come to CT. So I won't be able to catch any stripers til June. Laughing Razz

Same thing here BITS. March into mid May is when I'm into the shorties ranging from 14" to just under keeper size. Late May into early summer is when I've seen more reports about the bigger ones while surf fishermen are throwing their black Slug Go's at night. Then the bluefish get more active before it's time for the fall run.
