Hi,

ICE FISHING for Now

First you have to get there and find a place to park Shocked

Then trudge out thru deep snow with all your gear, then dig a hole down to the ice Shocked

Then ask the question ???

My conclusion Thumbs Up

That's why we're here.

It is a short season here in CT. When you have ice, and you have the skills and tools to go out and go fishing, you do just that. That's what we do here, as the thousands of post can attest, and the snow we got (that as you read this) is moving quite quickly off of any flat surfaces, will be just a part of the job for NE ice fisherman.

It is the prime time for ice, at least here in western CT, and I think its time for the select few to get out and fish, and fish hard, and leave the rest on the message boards.

Hi,

Winsted, Ct.
Temp 2 F -> Wind Chill -8 F

Well ..... Me and the wife are still snowed in and our street still hasn't been plowed.
Can't even get my Pickup or SUV out of the garage or driveway!
Many - Many secondary streets still un-plowed all over the state.
NW corner is a mess per local radio and TV.
Emergency services are overwhelmed with calls from people. for help !

So ? .....Who's going ice fishing ????????

Going to try to get to Hogsback around noon, I'd imagine the MDC keeps up with their plowing. Just finally liberated my truck and it looks like an excavator came through in the night and plowed a path down the road. Waiting to here if my buddy is dug out yet, then we're off.
