Anyone have any cool pics from this blizzard? I fished here in berlin until about 4:45 and couldn't take the wind anymore. Right now I can't really tell how much snow we have because of the drifts but I can tell you that one drift is pushing close to 3 feet |

I really dont feel like playing around with uploading onto photobucket and such right now. WE have 30" and drifts up to 4 1/2' feet and they stopped doing the roads around 9 here last night so there is 25" on our road still. Took me 6.5 hours to do my roof, clean the cars off, do the sidewalk that wraps around 2 sides of my property and the driveway and another hour to replace the drive belt on my snowblower right in the middle of coarse. Thank God I had an extra on hand!!!!!!! _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

Yeah, mine is a good one but small as it was fine at my old house but now where we live I have a huge amount of city sidewalk I have to do or else get fined for it and its just not big enough for it. Its a 24" and only 7.5hp It really does work great and throws snow real far, just too small now. Its a Simplicity which is a high end but I desperately need to upgrade here now. It also doesnt help that I have 3 bad discs in my back so I cant horse it around to much or the ambulance will have to come pick me up off the ground like they had to 2 1/2 years ago in my driveway!!!!! _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

FF, If the 24" throws the snow it's probably the best it gets. I have a 26" and do a 200' drive and two big parking areas. Takes about an hour for every 6" of snow. I figure if I had one of those 36" wide ones, it would just take more muscle to keep it from climbing up in deep snow and turning around. Better off with multiple narrow passes. Did mine today with a tweaked neck and shoulder to begin with... def need a painkiller tonight. Hang in! _________________ Herring? |

Here's pics outside of my rear deck starting around late night Friday and into Saturday afternoon starting with the earliest. You'll see what that howling wind did to the 30" of snow reported in Bridgeport.

Took a ride on the bike around the area today and took pics. Main St was a mess! People told me that 35 years ago the city was done pretty soon with plowing and did a good job vs this time!
