Haha, I run the same pink jigging pole. I broke mine two seasons ago around this time, wanted to replace it right away, and went to Dick's only to find them cleaned out and packing stuff away. The only two they had left was a rug beater pike rod or the cutest pink rod and reel you could imagine. The action was good and the fact that no one would steal it were enough to sell me. I figured I would coat it in stove paint and no one would know....

Here I am today, out jigging away with my pink Frabill (I think it's called the "Ladies Lite").

Needless to say, good rod, and in that picture, certainly in good company.

I have had the Eskimo Mako 43cc 8" for 7 years now, no problems. I use fresh gas every 21 days, with Sta-Bil Ethanol added to it. Before they had that stuff I used the old red stuff. I run it dry every year when I sharpen the blades and store it. I did have to replace one fuel line, and the cap, but all in all I am pleased with the purchase. I got it from cabelas during the summer when they had an icefishing equip. sale ($189.00) just my .02 With the crap gas we have, no matter what you get that runs on gas, it will need to be taken care of with kid gloves.

same here. Have owned one for years now and have no running issues and like any other engine with a carb if you leave untreated gas in it your bound to have issues with it. You should have a can of seafoam on hand at all times for all your small engines and mix your gas with it all the time. approx 30 days and untreated gas will start breaking down. Seen it 100 times as I fix stuff on the side. 9 out of ten times is carb/fuel issues.
