Maybe pond brook cove, shepaug arm, or the area near lover leap are frozen on lilli and maybe a few coves on zoar. I dont think the whole lake is frozen. I passed zoar awhile back (like a month ago) and it was strting to skim. That doesnt really help but itll give you an idea i suppose.

Just passed over zoar on rt 84 not a tiny bit of skim ice. Its all open water.

| When ice fishing Lilly and Zoar you're bound to only fish coves and estuaries unless we get plenty of freezing temps. Remember, Lake Lillinonah and Lake Zoar are the Housatonic River which means there's a flow. |

Drove by this morning and it's snow covered and solid down the southern end by Stevenson Dam, but I don't think its thick. I wouldn't venture out there yet. The last weekend in Jan there were several guys fishing French's Cove but the warm weather last week made things sloppy and the edges went away for awhile though the cove stayed solid. Ice was up to the edges today and there weren't any wet or slushy spots on it so I would think it froze up again. You can walk right on from Monroe's launch. I wasn't on it and didn't drill it, just posting visual observations.
While cruising down Rt 34 Pink House cove on Lake Housatonic looked sketchy. |
