Im getting really tired of freezing on the ice and and want to get out an fish a river for once in my life. I live in Danbury and id like to not have to drive more than 30 minutes. I dont have waders because none have ever fit me well enough (36x36 with size 15 shoe). Just looking for some ideas and suggestions. Thanks for your input.

Tight lines,
EJ

The Housy in New Milford and Kent would be a good place. Saugatuck River along Route 7 too.

Do you need the special permit to fish the Saugatuck River like the Reservoir?

Elixer,
https://usia.com/shop/waders/
I don't know about permit for the river but i'm pretty sure if bank is public access and it is not marked as watershed or special fish management it is like any other stretch of river in Ct.
The site above does special order waders up to at least size 15. Saw some comments about them elsewhere that seemed positive. Claimed to be $200 or so if you don't want anything special beyond larger than mass produced waders. If you try them, please post a review.

No special permit for the river. Reservoirs are owned by the water companies while rivers are the state.

Michael, where does rt 7 go along the saugatuck? I believe someone else mentioned that to me but I can't think of where that is. Thanks.

North of the Saugatuck Reservoir closer to Danbury. Look on Google Maps.
