State site is a pretty good jumpin off point for info.
Ive been there a few times in the past large weed lines east side and south end very thick lillys

I know second image is hard to see it was very early in the mornig but the thick mat off lillys fill the complete image

Try slow rolling a spinnerbait. Laughing Seriously, though, Bob's right that there are A LOT of resources available online for researching waters that are new to you:

The Angler's Guide -

http://www.eregulations.com/connecticut/fishing/

The Boater's Guide -

http://www.ct.gov/dep/cwp/view.asp?A=2686&Q=322292

The State Boat Launch map -

http://www.depdata.ct.gov/maps/boating/boatingmap.htm

The Connecticut Lake Bathymetry Maps -

http://www.ct.gov/dep/lib/dep/fishing/general_information/lakebathymetrymaps.pdf

CTFishTalk - Use the Search bar, above.

Most importantly, post a report under Ice Fishing Reports or Lake Reports after your outing. I, for one, would love to read about it. I've never been to Mudge Pond, either. Wink The more information that's put online, the better. Very Happy
