Went out Sunday afternoon to finally wet a line for the first time since Christmas! Weather was "warm" for January, and there were people on just about every pullout down the east side from the dam down to the green bridge. I think I spent as much time talking to a few folks as fishing. I managed to hook one brown on a black gummy stone fly. A few guys across from me were catching the occasional fish on live minows while I was down by Church Pool. Not a really exciting report, but it was nice to get out! _________________ RNA - It's in my blood.

Hi Dan,
Go to this USGS site when you want "real time" water flows anwhere in CT.
Just go to map and click on the gage site dot.

WHOA! ...Just checked Riverton and Simsbury gages and cfs have dropped drasticly
Thinking there might just be an ice jam dam up river somewhere !
Flows should be on the rise.
New Boston gage is going up fast |

Hi,
Just checked the gages at Riverton and New Boston -> Both have spiked up-wards showing tremedous water flow.
What ever held the water back (possible ice jam) let go.!
The gages are independent so both can't be wrong !
Both are close to me so I think I'll take a drive this morning, to see what's going on.
Will check some lakes while i"m at it !
