I saw a couple guys on little Bantam pond today, I'd go there tomorrow but no one was open to sell bait this afternoon. Plus it'll be packed I'd imagine. Big Bantam is far from frozen, Park held ice, at least from where I could see, which is that channel, but not sure how thick. There isn't a whole lot of snow left on many lakes up in Litchfield, not much fell compared to the eastern half and the wind scoured what did fall. Winchester was mostly locked up Sat., that lake always freezes a little different every year, so I'd wait. I think there will be more options next weekend. Happy new year, yall.

Park had a dozen or so guys on it today. I went by Winchester on Sunday and there was more open water then I'm comfortable with. Dog was frozen over but I've never fished it to say if its good or bad.

What about Tyler Lake? Last year, it had the best ice that I saw anywhere, even though the center never froze up.

Haven't decided yet Newbie. Gonna talk with the 2 usual ice guys tomorrow.

What do you guys think would be safer? Winchester or Park?

Confirmed with my closest fishing buddy that Saturday or Sunday we'll be hitting Dog and possibly some other place depending on the action at Dog.

Talked with him again today. Sunday is the day. Not sure on time yet. Dog will be our first stop. Depending on action, check out Tyler or West Side. From there either Park or Black Rock.
