All I can picture right now is skipping a Skitter Walk or X-Rap Walk right across the surface or a fast jerking retrieve with a Glidin Rap or X-Rap Subwalk!

That scene happens pretty much EVERY fall in Montauk,...it can be however both the best and WORST of striper/blue fishing! The place is insane with both fish and fishermen (day and night.),....and unfortunately a good percentage of the people are going to be as agressive and discourteous a bunch of fishermen as you will ever find anywhere! Additionally, thievery is also very prevalent there,..so make sure you keep anything of value locked at all times (and out of sight, if possible). Treat it about the same as you would parking on the street in the middle of NYC.
Now to be fair, there are certainly some semi-normal folks in the mix,...but if you decide to go, just be prepared for the other kind as well! Sorry if I burst your bubble on this,..but I know it is a big deal for anyone in CT to take the time and effort to get there! So if you do go,... I just want you to have the best chance of it being a positive experience! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
