After sleeping late into the afternoon Sunday I did my overnight trick and headed up to Twin Brooks Park Monday morning. Got there around 8:30am.

Saw there was no ice on any ponds there and also never saw anything while cutting through Beardsley Park.

Decided to hit the same spot that was producing the pickerel and perch earlier this year. First I tried a slow retrieve with a firetiger Original Floater F-7 which didn't see any attention. Other lures I tried doing the slow retrieve with were brown trout Flat Rap FLR-6, perch Original Floater F-7, and bleeding pearl Original Floater F-7. Never had any hits or followers.

I then decided to see if a firetiger Husky Jerk HJ-6 would make a difference by giving it a jerk and pausing for 3 seconds while it's suspended.

Saw 2 flashes as if something tried coming up for it and eventually landed a 7" crappie.

After that I never saw anymore flashes and no more attention.

Went to the spot that caught me the brown trout early this year but never had any luck with HJ-6, FLR-6, or F-7.

Tried a number of other spots but nothing.

Before leaving I decided to throw worms out to the bottom at the same spot I was hitting some fish at this past winter but never got any hits.

Headed down to Beardsley Park and casted the worms from the old cement wall facing up the Pequonnock. Had 2 hits with 1 of them being a 7" yellow perch.

Nothing else happened after that so I went to the Wonderland of Ice and tried drifting worms there but was surprised to not have a single hit knowing all the aggressive redbreasts in there.

Last stop was Glenwood Park and tried doing some jigging in front of the tunnel with a 1" soft plastic crayfish but nothing came for it.

Is that like staying up all night?

Yep and drink some non-decaf coffee with some other drinks such as Gatorade and Zico coconut water.

But once I get home, I'm dead for more than 12 hours! Laughing

All natural coconut water is very much like Gatorade. Tons of potassium and electrolytes.
