The world is going CRAZY
27 dead (9 adults and 18 children in grades kindergarden to 4th grade) in Newtown, Ct.
These are babies -> BABIES !
What I'm feeling right now is indescribable ! -> Horror, Outrage, Hurt
My heart goes out to the innocent victims, their families, and all effected by this tragedy !
Take care all and say some prayers

I feel so sorry for the innocent children and their families.
Imagine how excited those children who were killed were for Christmas. Parents and relatives probably had the presents for them by now.
This had to happen to children this young. |

I go to the high school in newtown about a mile or so away from this school. I was out sick today and when i woke up the first thing on tv was this shooting i thought to myself, it must be the same guy from last year who was called on for shooting targets in his back yeard near the school. When i heard the shooting was in the school i knew this wasnt a guy increasing his aim. Many of my close friends have relatives and siblings that go to this school and from what i hear theyre all safe and unharmed. I was told that Principal Hochsprung, the school guidance teacher, about 7 other teachers, and 18-20 children were killed. When i heard this i felt like i was choking on air. I couldnt believe something this bad would happen in a town ive lived in for majority of my life. Thank god Mrs. Hochsprung was able to say the cold words "We are going into lockdown, this is not a drill" or children would still be wandering the halls out in the open. I dont understand why a person would do such a thing and i dont think we will ever know. My prayers go out to everyone in my hometown newtown, the town that shall forver be known as the town that had the 2nd largest shooting in America. _________________ YouTube Channel: NorthEastFisherman |

Another sad thing is this happened in a town that was voted as one of the Top 10 safest towns in America a few years ago.
You never think a tragedy like this would happen in a small, peaceful town. |

It was a very sad and tragic day. Northeastfisherman glad to hear everyone you know is okay. I really could not watch the news yesterday, but the little I did watch and what I read I am hearing everyone talk about how quiet and safe the town was. I work in law enforcement and want all to know that I see people that everyday that have some sort of psychiatric problems and obviously this person had something wrong in the head, as do most people that do something like that. These people walk among us everyday and most of them function day in an day out without a problem and are not bad people, but some can't cope with the problems they have and this is the result.
The point I'm trying to make is that is you live in the quiet peaceful towns that are safe, still be careful and aware of the signs so we can try to avoid this from happening again.
I have worked in law enforcement for 7 years and seen many heinous things in person and up close none of which I feel have bothered me, but could not watch this on the television and have a hard time talking about it. |

we to live in newtown - my son played lacrosse at newtown and is set to graduate next year! he would have graduated this year BUT has been getting home bound classes due to his battle with chronic lyme! he has been out of school for 2.5 years!
i feel the same way as you - i watched tv over the week-end then would go out to get a breath of fresh air AND REALIZE this happened a few miles from US!
every morning i wake up and think TODAY will be a better day! and then all I see at the churches and in town are funerals!
SADEST TIME IN MY LIFE!!
keep the faith! |
