Hi,
Well I've been all over the web trying to figure out when, if any, "sustained" cold Wx will occur and give us a chance at doing some ice fishing this season !
Even my friend at "National Wx Center" can't even give me his best guess at what may occur this winter.
Global Wx systems are in flux and any winter long range 2-3 month predictions are running from colder then usual to drier/warmer, like last year .... It's take your pick !
Maybe predictions will firm up just before or by 1 Jan 2013.
Right now it's a roll of the dice ! 
Look at this way -> With all this open water -> Plenty of places still to fish vs thru a 6-8 inch hole !

still plenty of open water its just the wind thats not your freind right now ...suck the warm right out of ya

Sorry guys but you can take that ice and shove it! LOL I'm hoping this is a new weather pattern from here on in keeping heating bills down and water free from ice. The only thing I don't like about is the low water levels from no spring thaw so hopefully we get a better spring rain.
