For northern pike, I'd head up to Lake Champlain in the fall, probably in September. Call Captain Mickey Maynard. He's the best. He has a nice cottage where you can stay, too. Here's a link to his website:

Here are a couple of northern pike and a couple of northern pike/chain pickerel hybrids that we caught on our first charter with him (that's him in the photos with my daughter):

How aggressive were those pike/pickerel hybrids vs an average chain pickerel and northern pike? |

The hybrids are the best of both worlds, Michael. They're almost the size of a northern pike and have the aggressiveness of a chain pickerel. Unlike pike, they make more than two or three big runs after you hook them. And they're prettier, too!

After we boated 70 bass and pike in 2 days in September with Mick, i'm booked for late May for lakers/pike in 2013. Can't wait to go back!

Then I'm sure I'd love to get into those hybrids! You know how much I love hitting those pickerel and their aggressiveness compared to a pike. |

we will be fishing with him in feb in florida - bass - peacocks and reds! and then back up in may for pike - smallies and lakers
he knows his stuff and is fun to fish with and his rates are GREAT! |
